About Channel One Regional Food Bank and Food Shelf Channel One Regional Food Bank, a certified member of Feeding America, is a non-profit organization that serves the mission "to work in partnership with others to help feed people in need. In 2011-12, Channel One Regional Food Bank distributed approximately eight million pounds of food to those in need. e are currently serving an average of 100,000 individuals in our communities, with an average attendance of nearly 4,000 different households per month at the Supplemental Food Shelf. The programs at Channel One Regional Food Bank include the Backpack Program, Channel One Supplemental Food Shelf, Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Green Garden Program and the Mobile Food Pantry. Channel One Regional Food Bank and Food Shelf serves seniors, individuals with physical or mental-health disabilities, working families and individuals, people in times of crisis due to job loss, medical problems or personal disaster, and food shelves and other agencies in 14 counties. These counties include Faribault, Waseca, Rice, Goodhue, Wabasha, Steele, Dodge, Olmsted, Freeborn, Mower, Fillmore, Winona, Houston, and La Crosse County in Wisconsin.
