Some immunocompromised individuals need an additional dose of the mRNA vaccine to bring their level of vaccine effectiveness up to the same level as members of the general population. These additional doses ARE currently being administered through the clinic discussed above. The CDC is currently recommending that moderately to severely immunocompromised people receive an additonal dose. This includes people who have: Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome) People should talk to their healthcare provider about their medical condition, and whether getting an additional dose is appropriate for them.
