The Baltimore Neurosurgery and Spine Center is devoted to providing patients with the highest quality of surgical and nonsurgical care for neurosurgical conditions. The practice uses the lastest technologies to treat their patients including minimally invasive spine and cranial procedures; endoscopic and key-hole cranial procedures; and motion-preserving technology for treatment of spinal disorders and Cyberknife Radiosurgery for both cranial and spinal pathology. In addition to training in neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Ira Garonzik M.D., Founder and President of the Baltimore Neurosurgery and Spine Center, has specialized training in the treatment of complex spinal problems and conditions. His partners, Dr. James Conway M.D., Ph.D., and Dr. H. Christopher Lawson M.D., also completed their neurosurgical residencies at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Through a highly personalized and comprehensive analysis of a patient's condition, our goal is to return individuals to their normal, active lifestyles. We believe a patient's care requires more than technical expertise. We take pride in the importance we place on bedside manner and listening to and communicating effectively with patients and their families. We believe in exploring all noninvasive approaches prior to surgical intervention. Should surgery be required once conservative treatments are exhausted, we apply state-of-the-art techniques and technology to improve the lives of our patients.
