Job Purpose :
The Dental Program Manager oversees the administrative operations of the Dental Clinic at Waterfall Community Health Center, including supervising the dental staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, DPH, and JCAHO, developing policies and procedures for clinical and administrative operations, maintaining infection control and quality assurance, managing equipment maintenance, addressing patient complaints and incident reporting, and evaluating the dental program's financial performance.

- Supervise Dental Department staff, which includes Hygienists, Dental Assistants, and Patient Services Representatives.
- Ensure clinic’s compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, DPH, JCAHO).
- Develop, implement, and maintain dental policies and procedures related to clinical operations.
- Oversee the clinic’s Quality Assurance Program.
- Oversee the clinic’s Infection Control Program.
- Oversee protocols for the maintenance of all clinical equipment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain clinical protocols for the delivery of patient care services.
- Develop protocols for the management and resolution of patient complaints.
- Develop and oversee the system used to report and resolve incidents within the dental program.
- Review weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and productivity data for the dental program.
- Develop and implement action plans to address negative variances from departmental goals.
- At least annually, review and revise as necessary the payer mix, fee schedules, and departmental financial and productivity goals to ensure they continue to contribute positively to the profitability of the dental program.
- Assume overall responsibility for the financial performance of the dental program.
- Provide clinical and administrative leadership of the dental program.
- Participate in the Clinical Quality Improvement and Quality Management meetings and other meetings as requested by the supervisor and / or Senior Leadership Team.
