Job Description
Are you a skilled Industrial Electrician with a passion for maintaining and enhancing electrical infrastructure? Our client in Stratford CT is looking to add excellent Industrial Electricians to their team who will play a critical role in the operation and maintenance of our industrial machinery and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install all electrical components of the factory building, including low voltage and 480V/208-120V systems.
- Utilize a laptop computer to troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment.
- Construct and wire functional systems from electrical diagrams.
- Execute preventive maintenance using written work order procedures and document findings and recommendations.
- Conduct effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions in electrically controlled equipment.
- Recommend and order spare parts and equipment.
- Required : E-2 License.
- Graduate of a technical school with completion of a state apprentice program.
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as an Electrician in an industrial environment.
- Formal training in Electrical Theory and Safety.
- Required : Knowledge of PLC Programming, Troubleshooting, and Repair is a plus.
- Required : Understanding of industrial motor control, AC/DC, inverter drives, holding circuits, and overload protection.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and wiring basic electrical components such as relays, starters, motors, drives, and switches.
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Experience using common electrical tools, including Multi-Meters, Strippers/Crimpers, EMT Benders, and Threaders.
- Mechanical aptitude for disassembling and assembling basic machine components with hand tools.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal guidelines.
- Organized, neat, and able to work independently and as a team member.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred : Knowledge of Rockwell Automation SLC500.
- Preferred : Certificate of completion of an apprenticeship program.
Salary : $74,500 - $83,000
