Job Summary

The Evaluation and Research Assistant supports evaluation and Research of a HRSA -funded project in the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine. The Evaluation and Research Assistant in general will engage in administrative, evaluation, research, writing, presenting, and scholarship tasks.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

• Research and synthesize existing literature on topics of interest to the funded project.
• Create instruments such as surveys, interview guides, and other protocols and measures.
• Plan and implement data collection, and clean, manage, and analyze data using data and/or statistical software packages such as Excel, SAS , SPSS , Stata, or R.
• Collection and analyses of both qualitative and quantitative data.
• Prepare results for dissemination in various media including reports, conference presentations, and journal publications.
• Communicate and collaborate with, and receive guidance and instruction from the senior research analyst, senior project personnel, and other evaluation and research assistants.
• Administrative tasks such as submitting proposals and manuscripts, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, and other tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’ s degree in a related field.
• Previous research experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision or independently, analyze and make decisions related to evaluation and research projects.
• Detailed-oriented, coordination, and organizational skills required to prioritize work and coordinate deadlines.
