What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position at Universal Family Health Services, Inc.?
Looking for a board certified AANP or ANCC adult or family nurse practitioner or physician assistant to care for our Veterans in a primary care facility. You will be responsible to perform veterans evaluations and medical opinions on the Veterans who are seeking disability from the military. The candidate will provide physical exams for the Veterans without treatment. The ideal candidate will be responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best care with no supervision. Exams are one-time, non-treatment exams for individual Veterans in your area. Exams are guided by VA questionnaires on our secure, online portal for ease and efficiency. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The candidate will get pay as 1099 independent contractor.
Responsibilities
- Perform Compensation and Pension Examinations on Veterans
- Complete a thorough review of digital medical records
- Conduct a physical assessment based on specific disability claims
- Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim.
- All exams will take place at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access provided.
- Must be able to perform exams a minimum of 1 to 3 days per week
- Must have own laptop to work
Qualifications:
- State Board-certified adult-gero or family Nurse Practitioners with AANP or ANCC
- Board Certified physician Assistant
- One year Experience or some prior VA work is ideal.
- Design your own schedule
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work autonomous
Skills
- Proven experience as a nurse practitioner

- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- MSN from a nursing program
- AANP or ANCC certification
- Valid APRN nursing license
- At least 2 years of experience (waivable with management approval).
- Lives within 25-60 miles driving distance to the needs, with closer proximity preferred.
