Job Summary
The Dynatrace Administrator oversees the Dynatrace monitoring platform while supporting internal applications with monitoring best practices. Functions as primary technical lead on all Dynatrace APM (application performance monitoring) improvement efforts. Serves as the key monitoring resource for interactions with our internal application teams. Creates key initiatives to ensure stability of the Dynatrace environment. Conducts analysis covering monitoring improvements. Builds monitoring use-cases based on Dynatrace best practices.
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
4 years technical experience with Application Performance Monitoring
2 years technical experience supporting Dynatrace
3 years IT working experience in the areas of Application Performance Management, application monitoring, network administration, system administration, performance engineering / testing, or Java/.NET development
2 years of experience in software engineering and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
2 years of solid enterprise level .NET or Java development/support/operations
2 years of experience in web programming: JavaScript, AJAX and other JavaScript frameworks
Experience with application technologies (J2EE, .NET, Citrix, Microservices)
Experience with database technologies (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL)
Preferred:
Previous application development experience and/or Project Management experience is a plus
Cloud and Infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes etc.

Key Responsibilities
Monitors critical application performance and availability.
Summarizes and reviews performance trends in operations status meetings.
Assists staff in the troubleshooting and root-cause diagnosis of performance issues.
Maintains and enhances dashboards and reports to meet requirements of IT and business users.
On-boards additional applications for monitoring.
Mentors and trains application SME's on APM products and best practices.
Provides services that maintain and grow the adoption of the APM solution in new environments.
Provides regular status updates and documentation to support new or ongoing projects.
Identifies monitoring gaps and suggest ways to close them.
Ensures health of the Dynatrace APM deployment and software is updated accordingly.
Maintains accurate deployment documentation.
Desired Experience: - Previous application development experience and / or Project Management experience is a plus - Cloud and Infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes etc. - Ideal candidates will have 2 years of Dynatrace Technology experience - Dynatrace Product Certification
