What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Instructor position at Triple Canopy?
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- The Training Instructor position is a FTE position on the Federal Protective Service contract in Philadelphia, Pa. The local office is in Bensalem, Pa.
- Requires a background with a minimum of two years of successful experience in training (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service).
- Serve as the focal point for multiple contract training compliance requirements and be responsible for overall training quality and standards IAW the SOW.
- Develop, conduct, and manage academic and practical lessons and training (to include firearms instruction) IAW the SOW.
- Train, schedule, and manage the training staff conducting the training as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Training Instructor must possess appropriate certifications to perform First Aid, CPR, AED, Police Baton, Oleoresin Capsicum (OC), and firearms instruction.
- Training Instructors for First Aid, CPR, and AED must have an Instructor certification from ARC or AHA.
- Firearms Instructor certifications must be NRA, U S Military, or state or federal law enforcement.
- Ability to plan training objective, schedule personnel while ensuring contract staffing and operational continuity, maintain training files in compliance with FPS requirements and manage resources within budget.
- Ability to manage a team of instructors and coordinate multiple training venues occurring simultaneously.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is based in a busy training environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 to 5:00, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Travel will be required, 5%.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 100 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday and standing in a range environment for up to 8 hours.
