RN First Assistants are responsible for the following:
Provide patient care and support before and after the surgery.
Prepares all surgical tools and supplies needed for procedures.
Practice surgical procedures that include controlling bleeding, draping, etc.
The RN First Assistant is a registered nurse who assists the surgeon by monitoring the patient during procedures and by providing nursing care during a specific time period.
Qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania
RN, BSN degree required
RNFA certificate required
CNOR required
BCLS/ACLS certifications required
2 years as RNFA; Robotic/Laparoscopic experience preferred
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
