What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Quality Control Auditor-Bilingual position at Texas Injection Molding?
Position Purpose: To support our customers and Texas Injection Molding manufacturing through training, mentoring and guiding others; ensuring products manufactured by us meet or exceed set standards. Visually inspects, measures, and evaluates products according to customer specification.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods such as calipers and gauges, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
- Check that assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with our customer and industry standards.
- Record inspections results by completing reports and inputting data into quality database IQMS ERP system.
- Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality.
- Works alongside production team in validation of Good vs. Reject parts and insures that understanding of acceptable quality levels are provided as needed to each Operator.
- Drives continuous improvement across molding and secondary departments.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Education or GED
- Bilingual
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in plastics manufacturing environment preferable in the quality department.
Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving
- Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications.
- Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, caliper, micrometers, and computers.
- In-depth understanding of company standards
- Documentation and reporting skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
- Strong understanding of raw material and the manufacturing industry
- Bilingual English and Spanish
