IT Field Technician - Panama City Beach, FL

Job Summary:

The IT Field Technician must travel frequently to our retail stores located in the Gulf Shores and the Florida Panhandle for installations, maintenance, repairs of servers and networks. This may include working with email, printers, video conferencing equipment, security cameras, network connections and VPN.

Job Responsibility:

• Maintaining working components through repair or replacement.
• Assisting store personnel with call-ins or live chat when having technical difficulties.
• Collaborate with other IT personnel to uphold company operations by installing, repairing, and updating computer software or hardware for employees.
• Assisting company employees so they can complete their job duties effectively.
• Responsible for taking inventory of computer hardware and installation tools or placing orders for devices like routers or keyboards as needed.
• Physical installation of cameras, including the required infrastructure, equipment, and programming of devices.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of experience in low voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber optics), Point of Sale (POS) systems, IP cameras and NVRs and basic 70V audio systems.
• Experience with scissor and boom lifts is preferred.
• Reliability and a passion for getting the job done right, solid problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, strong communication skills, good task management, and effective customer service skills.
• Must be a motivated, self-starter who can work independently with little to no supervision.
• Must be highly adaptable, quick learner.
• Clean State Driver’s License (insurance purposes to drive company vehicles)
• Lift weight 40 lbs.

Location: Home base can be anywhere between Gulf Shores, AL and Panama City Beach, FL (this will be your primary territory)

Pay: $20-$25/hr.
