Experienced Dance Instructor/Choreographer

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience working with adults. This role involves teaching dance techniques, fostering creativity, and inspiring students to develop their skills while promoting a love for dance.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to various skill levels specifically for adults.
• Instruct students in various dance styles, ensuring proper techniques and safety practices are followed.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and fosters student confidence.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
• Organize and participate in recitals, showcases, or other performance opportunities for students. .
• Stay updated on current trends in dance education and incorporate new techniques into lessons.

Skills

• Strong background in dance with the ability to teach various styles effectively.
• Experience in tutoring or adult education is a plus, enhancing the learning experience for diverse age groups.
• Proficiency in classroom management to maintain an organized and productive learning environment.
• Familiarity with photography can be beneficial for documenting marketing, performances and student progress.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A nurturing attitude towards adult of all ability levels.

We are looking to fill the following days and times. If you are fluent in any of the styles listed on the days/times listed, feel free to apply. We don't expect a dancer to be fluent in all these styles but wonderful if you are!

Tuesdays and Thursdays 10-11am aerobic, jazzercize or zumba type fitness.

Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm hip hop is preferred but would consider other cardio fitness styles.

Thursday 7:30pm - 8:30pm country line or country swing preferred.

Friday 10:30- 11:30am belly dancing

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per year
