We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our team. As an STNA, you will provide essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. This position requires a reliable form of transportation, as you will be expected to travel to different locations to provide patient care.
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Follow all infection control protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
- Must possess a current State Test Nurse Aide license, Red Cross certification of first aid training, and a certificate of tuberculosis vaccination (Caregiver Qualifications).
- Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation and be comfortable with travelling as needed to provide care.
