Semo Milling, LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Scale & Grain Technician!
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Performing duties as directed by others to ensure the following responsibilities are performed in an accurate and timely fashion:
- Interact with farmers to ascertain correct grain account application
- Accurately weigh trucks and input weights into the accounting system
- Interact with farmers regarding contract balances and inbound shipment flow
- Operate sampling probe in efficient and safe manner to acquire representative sample
- Split grain sample into workable fractions
- Perform all FGIS grain grading procedures as required
- Perform in-house grain grading procedures including stress cracks, kernel count weights, aflatoxin, etc.
- Accurately input grade factors into accounting system
- Assist load-out crew with weighing and issuance of Bill of Ladings of finished product
- Assist in-bound co-product trucks with loading instructions, weighing, and issuance of Bill of Ladings
- Interaction with customers on order requests, changes, additions, etc.
- Communication with SEMO Port on moving railcars
- Assist in answering farmer questions at scale
- Assist grain merchandisers in acquiring marketing information from farmers to help build customer profiles
Open Communication to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary.
