What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN PRN OVERNIGHT position at San Marcos Treatment Center?
We are looking for RNs to work with our Adolescent population on our overnight shifts - 10 pm to 6 am.
Our Nursing positions are under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the RN provides physical assessments of patients; implements treatment plans, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, administers medications as prescribed and provides health care education for patients and families. Provide direct patient care and management of children, adolescent, and young adult patients as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Assure safety, supervision, and crisis management for patient populations. Provide assessment and medical management of patients. Assist in the management of a therapeutic milieu.

Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. One year psychiatric / neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents and / or young adults in a long term hospital or residential setting preferred.*_
Licensure/Certification:
Current Texas professional Nurse License and current driver license.
Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. Demonstrates effective organization. Develops and implements patient care services within discipline. Must consistently exhibit mental ability to understand and perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to initiate and implement all phases of the nursing process; ability to provide safe nursing care; understanding patient rights; basic supervisory skills.
