Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Ritchey Metals Company in Canonsburg, PA. In this role, you will work closely with production team members and management to support our manufacturing processes, design improvements, and equipment maintenance.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career engineers who are eager to grow and develop their skills in a hands-on environment within the metals industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of equipment and systems for our manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with production teams to improve process efficiency and equipment performance
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical/electrical equipment
- Perform data analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in ensuring all systems comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Participate in equipment upgrades and preventative maintenance projects
- Prepare technical documentation and reports
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve operational performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills with a desire to learn and adapt quickly
- Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus
- Familiarity with electrical systems, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
