This second shift position (training on 1st) involves handling various tasks related to receiving, shipping, and managing materials within the company. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, material handling, receiving raw materials and goods, and packaging/shipping finished products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Counts, verifies and records inventory levels, identifies any discrepancies, assist the supervisor when required to maintain the accuracy of inventory.
- Deliver materials to production as needed.
- Print inventory tags.
- Enter QAD transactions for raw material movements using appropriate computer hardware.
- Weights and accounts for material returned from production making sure the proper weights were consumed, ensures materials are put back to stock accurately, properly and timely.
- Supporting Inventory control, cycle counts and verification of inventory status.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently while being a team player.
- Proficient in prioritizing tasks and meeting multiple deadlines with good time management skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to use math tools such as calculators, scales, and rulers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing jobs and priorities.
- Proficient with computers and capable of learning software used at PPC. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP enterprise applications.
- Experience with material handling equipment such as forklift trucks and pallet jacks.
- Able to read and follow written instructions using the appropriate equipment and tools.
