Pathmark Transportation is hiring for Facility Manager for our Terminal in Memphis, TN.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Manager to oversee the operations of our distribution center. The Facility Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the terminal, including materials handling, production and Transportation of the delivery fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Transportation industry, warehouse operations and possess excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the terminal, ensuring efficient and timely handling of cargo
- Manage a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize terminal performance and improve productivity
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective coordination of activities
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and supplies
- Utilize systems and tools to track and analyze terminal performance metrics
- Ensure proper inventory management and accurate recordkeeping
- Implement category management strategies to optimize procurement processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in terminal management within the logistics industry
- Strong knowledge DOT regulations and industry best practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Solid understanding of materials handling processes and equipment
- Proficient in data analysis
- Strong negotiation skills for contract management
- Ability to think strategically and make sound decisions based on data analysis
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
