As part of the team, you will be pursuing the most advanced, innovative, and cost-effective treatment options, so that our patients receive personalized, custom care best suited to their situation.
Under minimal supervision is responsible for account follow-up for all assigned accounts, resolving insurance billing problems and answering patient inquires.
Set up financial arrangements with the patients, as needed, to include payment plans. Uses collection techniques to keep accounts receivable current including monitoring for delinquent payments from both insurance companies as well as the patient.
As necessary assists patients and families with obtaining community resources including, but not limited to, drug replacement, co-pay assistance and other financial support.
Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Qualifications : High School diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical business office setting with insurance processing and balancing responsibilities.
Must be familiar in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook as it relates to job duties (must be able to complete and pass Microsoft (MS) skills check list with managers or the results from an employment agency test.
Communication skills written and verbal. Excellent customer service and high level of courtesy and professionalism required.
