Our dedicated team delivers exceptional snow removal and salting services, ensuring that parking lots, walkways, and roadways are safe for all employees, visitors, and customers. We are currently looking for an experienced Site Foreman to oversee operations at multiple locations.

Position Overview:

The Site Foreman will be responsible for managing snow removal operations across several locations, supervising multiple crews, and ensuring that snow and ice are effectively cleared and salted in a timely and efficient manner. The role requires strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain clear communication with both the crew and the client. You will be managing personnel and coordinating activities to ensure that all sites are kept safe and operational during winter weather events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crew Supervision & Coordination:
  • Lead and oversee multiple snow removal crews at various locations, ensuring that each crew is performing their tasks safely and effectively.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to crew members based on site-specific needs and weather conditions.
  • Monitor crew performance to ensure that snow removal and salting operations are completed efficiently and according to company standards.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with crew leaders to ensure progress is being made and identify any issues.
  • Ensure crews have all necessary materials and tools to complete their tasks (salt, shovels, pushers, etc.).
  • Site Management & Problem Solving:
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust snow removal strategies as necessary to prevent issues like refreeze, excessive accumulation, or ice hazards.
  • Proactively assess the status of each location to ensure timely service during and after a storm.
  • Quickly identify and resolve any issues that may arise on site, such as staffing shortages, equipment failures, or difficult weather conditions.
  • Coordinate additional resources if a location requires extra attention or if conditions worsen unexpectedly.
  • Quality Control & Client Relations:
  • Ensure that all snow removal and salting tasks are performed according to client expectations and safety standards.
  • Inspect each location before, during, and after snow events to ensure all areas (parking lots, driveways, walkways, etc.) are clear and safe for use.
  • Maintain communication with Supervisor and provide updates on snow removal progress, especially if any delays or issues arise.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Use a mobile app or other systems to track services performed, document hours worked, and log snow removal/salting activities.
  • Keep detailed records of all snow events, including equipment use, salt consumption, and any additional issues that arose during the operation.
  • Ensure that all timecards and work logs are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure that all crew members are following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate protective gear.
  • Train crews on safety protocols and snow removal best practices.
  • Monitor weather conditions and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of your team.
  • Ensure that all operations comply with local laws and regulations related to snow removal.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the scheduling of crews based on weather forecasts and demand.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to ensure that staffing levels and resources are adequate to handle all locations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in snow removal operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing multiple crews and locations during snow events.
  • Strong understanding of snow removal techniques and best practices (no equipment operation required for this role).
  • Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with crews, clients, and management.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple locations and crews simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with using mobile apps or software for service tracking, timekeeping, and reporting.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work long hours in cold, snowy, and potentially hazardous weather conditions.
  • Must be physically fit enough to inspect and oversee operations at multiple sites, often on foot.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (ability to travel between locations as needed).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during snow events.

What We Offer:
