Unit is Cortez. Hours are 11 pm to 7 am.
Why does the job exist?
Incumbent will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to CNA's and for the Implementation and direction of all nursing activities towards common hospital goals. Incumbent will provide nursing care to meet the needs of the patients.
How does it get done?
Incumbent will be responsible for administration of all types of medications and treatments, assist with personal care and ADLs, and assists with diagnostic therapeutic procedures.

Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience in providing comprehensive nursing care;
Experience in administration of all types of medications;
Experience working with treatment teams.
Minimum Qualification
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico OR eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements OR eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
Employment Requirements
This position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in volatile situations requiring crisis intervention may be required. Effective 1/1/2015, the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-Cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus.
