Job Summary:
We are seeking a Producer/Director's Assistant to support our animated film, The Magician’s Elephant. The Assistant will manage the day-to-day needs of the Producer and Director on the film and support the production on an as-needed basis.
What You’ll Do:
- Schedule and coordinate meetings
- Maintain the Producer and Director's calendar as well as the Production Calendar
- Coordinate travel for the Producer and Director
- Create expense reports for the Producer and Director
- Generate and distribute production documents and scripts as needed
- Elevate any concerns on the Producer or Director's well-being or scheduling to the Line Producer or Production Manager
- Assist in administrative duties such as building crew contact sheets and taking notes
- Support the Production Manager and Coordinators as needed in preparing materials for shipment to external partner studios
- Ensure that Producer and Director have the materials needed to complete their work
- Plan and execute events for the crew
- Other duties as assigned by the Producer and Director
What You’ll Need:
- 6 months as a Producer's Assistant, Production Assistant, internship experience in animation production, or related experience
- Knowledge of CG animation preferred
- Organized, detail-oriented, ability to multitask, strong desire to learn, interested in people, and have excellent verbal, written, and e-social communication skills
- Comfort level working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with the ability to manage time and balance priorities
- Experienced in Google Suite (preferred) and/or Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of asset and shot tracking systems, preferably ShotGrid, a plus
- Familiarity of Photoshop, Adobe Suite, and Final Draft a plus
- Proactive, positive thinker with a willingness to offer assistance with any task large or small
