Job Summary:

Mosaic recently installed a state-of-the-art roll-fed inkjet press to complement our existing conventional, UV and digital presses. We also installed two highly automated roll-fed finishing lines. This position supports all offset and digital press and finishing lines – both sheetfed and roll-fed.
Duties:
- Prep and troubleshoot customer files.
- Ability to read and comprehend job tickets and ensure that files match the job specs.
- Communicate with customers, the sales department and co-workers to address and resolve any problems and/or discrepancies between files and job ticket.
- Ability to create and use PitStop Action Lists and Photoshop Actions.
- Proficient in manipulating excel files and doing variable data merges.
- Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry.
- Understand how to impose files for various devices.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Assemble proofs as required.
- Check proofs and plates for accuracy.
Experience:
5 years of prepress work experience in a commercial print shop. Requires the knowledge of and the ability to operate both a Mac and PC computer and related software, trouble shoot Mac and PC files. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. PitStop experience preferred. Apogee experience is a plus. Equios experience a HUGE plus.
