Responsibilities
Position Summary
Prioritizes workload ensuring that high priority items are completed first. Seeks clarification when delegation of tasks are unclear. Completes or contributes to required reports. Assures that acuity report is complete and communicated to staffing at designated time. Supports new ideas and promotes positive change. Remains calm and helpful during stressful situations. Capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously. Safeguards electronic equipment. Is responsible for the safe use of equipment and follows hospital policies for the reporting and repairing of malfunctioning of damaged equipment. Directly resolves interpersonal conflicts in a timely fashion. Maintains professional demeanor and attitude when performing assigned duties. Must have regular reliable predictable attendance in performance of essential job functions.
Primary responsibility is to serve as clerical clinical and operational support for administrative and various operational readiness functions for the clinical needs of the department. The position ensures various operational readiness duties are further described below. The position also provides various duties as a confidential employee: informs management of anomalies of personnel situations. Tracks maintains and assists with employee and managers needs. The position also provides clerical and general support to the nursing leadership of the department.
Responsible for new hire orientation of systems and floor. Keeps accurate record of denominators. Keeps updated record of sick calls and/or late shows. Maintains surgical count sheet records. Manages and maintains monthly logs. Coordinates department competencies meetings quarterlies with educator and applies to schedule. Assists in coordinating registry staff with scheduling needs. Maintains updated records of education certifications of employees in the unit. Maintains a positive relationship with physicians staff patients patients and visitors.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
- Recent clerical experience within the last 5 years
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Computer literate: Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint
- High School Diploma/GED
