What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales - Automation position at McAlister Design?
The Inside Sales Department is responsible for assisting the Business Development Managers with prospecting, developing accounts, soliciting, obtaining orders, and maintaining customer satisfaction as a problem-solving resource.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support Business Development: Assist Business Development Managers (BDMs) with account-related tasks, including inbound lead follow-up, generating new leads by researching companies, identifying key stakeholders, and conducting outreach.
- Leverage Sales Tools: Utilize sales support tools such as ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and LinkedIn to enhance business development efforts and streamline processes.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with both new and existing customers by responding to calls and emails promptly and professionally. Accurately verify, qualify, and input the information received.
- Relationship Building: Establish rapport with potential and existing customers, providing them with sales and technical product information to support their decision-making process.
- Opportunity Qualification: Research and qualify sales opportunities with non-key accounts by identifying potential support and sales actions. This includes analyzing C-level accounts, web inquiries, trade show leads, and reviewing customer buying and financial histories.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to maintain and improve sales performance by adhering to market segment strategies and focusing on target accounts.
- Reporting and Event Assistance: Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and customer visits by compiling relevant data and working closely with the sales team. Support trade show preparation activities and ensure alignment with marketing department requirements for brand consistency.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall sales and business development objectives.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting outside sales teams.
- Strong prospecting/lead generating skills, including research, cold calling, emailing, social media, networking etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to self-motivate and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the Following a Plus:
- Ability to understand and interpret technical product requirements.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly with automation.
- Experience with CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) and ZoomInfo.
