Job Description
Under the direction of the ACEO and Director of Security (Lutheran Hospital), the Security/PBX Department's Manager performs duties which aids in the facility-wide safety & security of Dupont Hospital Team Members, guests and visitors. Mentors and trains new Team Members in the daily functions of the security department. Schedules the security staff, works with the Director for hiring and interviewing of security candidates. Works with Environment of Care leaders concerning the Security Function Team. Point of contact for Security related building systems and Switchboard Operator systems. Assists with the creation of badges and access control. Assists with Security work order distribution & files completed work orders correctly. Completes with Security and Switchboard Operators Team member’s Annual Evaluations. This position participates in all facility responses related to emergencies and in regard to safety and security of guests, visitors, and team members. The Security/PBX Team Manager also performs other duties within capabilities as assigned by the ACEO and Director of Security (Lutheran Hospital).
This position will support both Dupont Hospital and Lutheran Hospital
Licensure/Certifications
Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications
Current driver’s license
Education: Associate degree required, Bachelors preferred.
Associates degree waived with 5 years of leadership experience, High School Diploma required.
Other
Leadership skills that are decisive while at the same time promote Teamwork among subordinates.
A strong working knowledge of safety codes that pertain to the hospital’s Environment of Care.
Good organizational skills for event planning, record keeping and staff scheduling.
Requires good communication skills both orally and in writing that are equal to the high school graduate level.
Utilizes security systems such as CCTV and Access Control to monitor the Hospital & grounds. Responsible for PBX operations.

- SAMA Level 1 within 30 days of hire
- SAMA Level 2, 3, 4 within 90 days of hire
- BCLS within 60 days of hire
- FEMA NIMS certifications including 100 and 200 within 60 days of hire
