Overview
Left Coast Electric, Inc is a fast-growing Electrical Contractor based in San Dimas, California, and we are looking to expand our team! We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage technician to join our team. We are currently looking for a foreman who can lead our teams on the field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage electrical systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations. You will need to be able to perform the following duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand the layout of low voltage electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including telecommunications, security systems, fire alarms, and network cabling.
- Conduct routine inspections of systems to ensure they are functioning properly and identify potential hazards.
- Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Perform frame carpentry and other related tasks as required.
- Work on construction sites, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Install and replace low voltage electrical fixtures, outlets, and switches.
- Perform preventative maintenance on low voltage electrical systems to prevent malfunctions and reduce downtime.
-Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including those with complex wiring and circuitry.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
-Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
-Train end users on how to use the installed systems effectively and safely.
-Document all installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair work for record keeping and future reference.
-Collaborate with construction or architectural teams when installing new systems.
You will need the following qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience as a low voltage foreman.
- Strong understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Experience working with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and low voltage blueprints.
- Knowledge of electrical safety protocols and industry standards.
- Experience working on construction sites and in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and work at heights.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in low voltage systems or a related field is essential.
- Valid electrician's license or certification is required.

Pay: $21.00 - $40.00 per hour
