We’re seeking an Architectural Specification Writer to be based in Arlington, VA. Reporting to the Specifications Director, selected individual will provide fully integrated technical support to architecture and engineering teams during the design through construction document phases on public projects.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings to identify scope and content for specifications.
- Assist design teams in selection of materials, products, finishes, and installation methods commensurate with the needs of the project.
- Write and edit the entire architectural technical specifications using office masters, commercial specifications, and create specification sections using Microsoft Word and Specslntact.
- Coordinate contents of the Project Manual. Access the requirements for a project and work with the Project Manager to determine scope of work.
- Perform quality control review of drawings and specifications to provide feedback to project teams.
- Coordinate specifications with drawings; coordinate all Division sections throughout all disciplines.
- Be a resource professional to the project teams.

The base salary range for this position is $100,400.00 to $131,700.00 . Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
