Overview:
The Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the InterContinental Bellevue. This position will be responsible for general cashiering, income auditing, accounts payable processing, and other essential accounting functions. You may also assist with Payroll duties and accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cashiering duties, ensuring accurate and timely handling of all cash transactions.
- Conduct daily income audits to verify revenue and identify discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable, including meticulous verification of invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and timely preparation of payments.
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports in compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist with payroll processing using WorkDay, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
- Potentially handle accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or luxury service industry, but not required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in advanced accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Extensive experience with WorkDay is highly desirable.
- Exemplary attention to detail and organization skills, with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to financial challenges.
