Summary
Coordinates basic manufacturing business office activities regarding production, inventory control, distribution, training, cost analysis, finance, and/or a variety of other business and technical systems to ensure optimal operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Enter and track departmental information and process performance using various spreadsheets and database PC programs. Prepare and maintain documents, files, databases, and records such as standard operating procedures (SOP) and batch records. aintain warehouse operations, such as inventory control and ordering supplies and equipment as required. Systems Administrator for training records in department. Strong verbal and written communication skills across multiple functional areas. Computer skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access. May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic knowledge of cGMP manufacturing in the areas of cell culture, purification, and buffer/ media preparations. Demonstrated understanding and compliance to Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures. Thorough working understanding and application of quality and business systems, for example: document/ batch record control, inventory control, and training, et. al. Must have the ability to correctly complete high school-level mathematics. Incumbent must be proficient in a variety of mathematical disciplines and be able to work with both the metric and USA standards of measurement. Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions and have good verbal/written communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and converse in English. Must be able to navigate, conduct searches, and fill on line forms on Personal Computer for the purposes of training, performance management, and self service applications. Must have the ability to navigate electronic mail systems and intranet for communication purposes. Basic word processing skills. Basic spreadsheet skills. Basic typing skills.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree preferred. Minimum 2-4 years of experience. Working Environment Normal office environment. May be working in a loud area that requires hearing protection and other protective equipment to be worn. May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and celite that may require respiratory protection. Inside working conditions. May be required to work or be assigned to a different shift as needed.
