Job Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
- Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
- Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
- Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
- Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
- Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment, as well as emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment
- Understand the basics required to troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems and support equipment.
- Detect faulty or failing equipment and report any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Install both high voltage and low voltage circuits throughout facilities
Qualifications for Electrician
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program required
- Journeyman Electrician specialized in industrial and/or maintenance preferred.
- 3-5 years of electrical experience
- Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
