Electrical Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
• Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
• Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
• Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
• Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
• Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
• Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment, as well as emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment
• Understand the basics required to troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems and support equipment.
• Detect faulty or failing equipment and report any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Install both high voltage and low voltage circuits throughout facilities

Qualifications for Electrician

• Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program required
• Journeyman Electrician specialized in industrial and/or maintenance preferred.
• 3-5 years of electrical experience
• Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
• Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
