Job Summary: Mobile Specimen Collector
GTI Laboratories is seeking a dedicated Mobile Specimen Collector to join our dynamic team. This position requires a motivated individual with at least one year of relevant phlebotomy or medical assisting experience and a valid phlebotomy certification. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong communication skills, and possess an outgoing personality that fosters engagement with both patients and team members.
In this role, you will conduct specimen collections independently and collaboratively, adapting to various clinical settings. A clean driving record and a reliable vehicle are necessary for mobile collectors. We offer competitive hourly rates with benefits including health insurance, PTO, and mileage reimbursement.
Candidates should have experience with Windows and Microsoft applications, attention to detail, and a solid work history. Job Responsibilities:
· Servicing the areas of;
o New Orleans, LA
o Shreveport, LA
o Covington, LA
o Kenner, LA
o Lafayette, LA
o Surrounding areas
· Collect blood, toxicology, and pathology samples in mobile and assisted living settings.
· Order and manage supplies needed for testing.
· Perform accurate data entry and maintain tracking records for specimens sent via FedEx.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and relevant parties regarding patient status.
· Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
· Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
· Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and complete HIPAA training upon hire.
· Must be dependable, professional, and able to follow instructions.
