We are seeking a proactive Senior Associate to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your accounting and finance expertise while servicing a diverse clientele. You will be tasked with delivering strategic financial insights and solutions, aiding clients in navigating sophisticated financial matters such as journal entries, reconciliations, trend analysis, and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring the timely generation of financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and reconcile essential financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Utilize GAAP and accounting principles to create accurate financial statements.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and provide valuable insights to clients.
- Manage client engagements from onboarding through to delivery, maintaining a keen understanding of engagement economics.
- Contribute to client proposals and effectively communicate solutions.
- Employ firm processes, technology, and resources to efficiently manage workflow and documentation.
- Prepare schedules to support audit preparation and compliance with tax regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable accounting or finance role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and experience applying accounting standards to financial statements.
- Proven proficiency in preparing and reconciling financial statements, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Solid experience in trend analysis and performance metric reporting.
- Exceptional organizational and planning abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills, capable of drafting proposals and explaining financial solutions to clients.
- Proficient in financial software and systems for effective workflow management.
- Experience supporting audit preparation and tax compliance is an advantage.
