Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Middle School Humanities Curriculum Coordinator and Director to craft and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a diverse spectrum of learners.
• Partner with grade-level teams to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods to create dynamic and inclusive learning experiences.
• Conduct weekly advisory sessions focused on students’ social-emotional growth.
• Create a stimulating and respectful classroom environment through effective management techniques.
• Maintain proactive communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues.
• Participate actively in faculty meetings, contribute to school events, and lead experiential education trips.
• Advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring every student finds a sense of community.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of School.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Education, History, English, or a related discipline.
• Teaching certification and a minimum of five years of classroom experience.
• Experience in teaching middle school students in humanities or related areas.
• Familiarity with educational technology, including Google Workspace and Zoom.
• Enthusiasm for or experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL).

Compensation And Benefits

• Salary Range: \(60,000-\)80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
