The City of Richmond, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer is currently seeking a Management Analyst Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of highly responsible, confidential and complex administrative, technical and project management duties in support of the Chief Administrative Officer.
**This position is considered an Essential Personnel, which means that the incumbent is required to work when the City is closed due to public emergencies, critical or hazardous conditions or inclement weather.
**This individual may be required to work nights, weekends, holidays or on-call, as needed.
**This recruitment is for a position which is unclassified. Therefore, the successful candidate will serve at the will of the Appointing Authority
- Providing comprehensive customer service and delivering accurate, prompt, and courteous assistance on policies, guidelines, and standard practices to internal and external customers, verbally and in writing
- Conducting legislative tracking and analysis
- Facilitating special projects to include the execution and management of the projects
- Performing general office operations to include: budgeting, accounts payable and operating task as assigned
- Researching, analyzing and writing reports
- Providing support for innovation and continuous improvement teams

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of electronic databases and related software applications; governmental accounting concepts; knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle. Skill in analyzing and aggregating data; analyzing and interpreting manuals and operating procedures; assisting with special projects and programs; communicating with various internal and external departments effectively; gathering and compiling data; excellent oral and written communication. Ability to multi-task; organize; plan; prioritize; problem solve; and manage time effectively.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or field related to assignment
- Two years of paraprofessional experience in area related to assignment, such as assisting with program or project administration and management analysis
- An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
