Position Definition:
The Performing Arts Coordinator is a key member of the Summer Play & Learn Camp team, responsible for planning, choreographing, and leading performing arts sessions that inspire creativity, self-expression, and teamwork among campers. Focusing on Pre-K to grade 5, the coordinator will guide campers through fun and age-appropriate group dance numbers, culminating in a dynamic camp show.

Focusing on Pre-K to grade 5, the coordinator will guide campers through fun and age-appropriate group dance numbers, culminating in a dynamic camp show.
General Duties:
- Plan and execute a complete performing arts program, including choreography and rehearsals, ensuring campers have a positive and memorable experience.
- Instruct campers in dance and age-appropriate songs, preparing them for a group performance.
- Promote participation, creativity, and enthusiasm among campers while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Encourage campers to try new skills, collaborate, and work together as a team.
- Oversee all aspects of the camp show, ensuring the final performance runs smoothly.
- Maintain, inventory, and store art equipment properly, ensuring it is packed and accounted for at the end of the camp season.
- Assist with the cleanup and organization of activity areas, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all campers.

Notes:
- Hours: Monday through Friday, June 23 to August 1, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 3:00 PM. No days off will be given (except for July 4th holiday).
- Commitment to attending all required training sessions, including CPR (June 16) and orientation sessions (June 17, 18, 20).
- This position is not eligible for benefits.
- Must have a vehicle to travel to different sites

- Must be 19 years of age or older
- At least two years of teaching experience in various dance genres, including instructing elementary and/or middle school-aged children (experience teaching dance in schools is preferred)
- Prior experience as an educator, coach, camp counselor, performer, or in early childhood development is preferred.
- The ability to engage in physical activities like running, jumping, and sports, lift up to 25 pounds of equipment, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and demonstrate and participate in athletic drills and games with campers.
- Certified or able to obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, and Epi-Pen training (training provided).
Salary : $19 - $22
