What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1832 Steakhouse Host position at Choctaw Nation?
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Provide high level customer service to ensure that guests have the most favorable fine dining experience. You will report to the General Manager of Fine Dining.
Primary Tasks:
You will greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
Identify guests’ preferences and their personal information: regularity and time of dining, food and drink choice, seat preference, food allergies, special occasion, Onyx guests, table position, telephone number, email address, web address.
You will recognize and build partnerships with guests and regulars.
Report guest satisfaction with managers.
You will escort guests to their destinations. (table, restroom, exit etc.)
Observe dining room, lobby and service areas to ensure they are clean, stocked and visually appealing, keep the floor area clean and free of debris.
You will restock dining room tables, service stations, & condiment stations following established standards.
Assist other restaurant personnel with food running and other tasks.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM
- High School Diploma or GED
- Respond guests situations and resolve wisely
- Ability to handle cash responsibly
- Ability to remember names, faces, and guest information that makes each guest feel unique
- Ability to calculate basic math functions as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory
- Works well independently and cooperatively in a team environment
- Two (2) years previous experience in a high-volume fine dining restaurant
