The EHR Developer works directly with the EHR vendor to create and develop API integrations for internal platform. Continuously develops and improves internal platform, maintains hosting services, develops structured data and provides support. Acts as liaison between EHR and internal stakeholders to provide solutions and services.
Responsibilities
· Analyze the current transactional database to understand the existing system and create the approach documents for the migration task.
· Analysis, design, development, and enhancement of platform, integration, and structured data on a weekly basis. .
· Develop various types of reports like Drill Down, Drill through and parameterized reports using SQL Server and IBM Cognos Report Studio.
· Perform complex analysis and troubleshooting.
· Following the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), modify various processes and stored procedures in the EHR system
· Solves moderately to complex application-related problems, analyzes technology solutions options, and provides feedback to appropriate parties.
· Following the SDLC process, maintain and apply SQL updates, stored procedures; perform technical design reviews and code reviews, develop and maintain cheat sheets, job aids, technical documents, and training guides as required.
· Inspect reports and fix bugs in Queries, also including tuned reports.
· Develop new packages reports for the system, including but not limited to the creation of notifications and alerts in efforts to advise EHR support team of any failures.
· Manage EBO eClinicalWorks canned reports user logs, database user accounts, server roles, database roles and its permissions, Handle dead lock scenarios.
· Design expressions to calculate, group, filter, parameterize and format reports contents.
· Documenting and analyzing existing design reports for developing new architectural reports model for the enhancement project to reduce flaws in reporting.
· Maintain active relationships with the clinical team to determine business requirements and lead requirements gathering meetings.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in the field of health information systems, computer science, information technology, or related
· Minimum (5) years relevant work experience with software development, preferred with a clinical and health informatics background
· Deep technical knowledge with eBO and Cognos Report Studio, others EMR/EHR Reporting Studios are a plus
· SQL development experience with the ability to write complex and nested SQL queries
· Senior level skills in building Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards and Active Reports using eBOCognos
· Microsoft SQL Server Certification is a plus

Salary : $83,900 - $106,000
