This newly created position will help evolve and advance our operational capabilities to the next level!

The Vice President of Operations oversees the company’s ongoing operations, with a significant emphasis on engineering excellence and innovation. This role ensures operational efficiency, manages resources effectively, and aligns project management, engineering and operational activities with the company’s strategic objectives. This position leads and develops teams across multiple locations and over various functions, including design, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, service, project management and shipping and receiving. The VP of Operations drives performance across all of these areas of the company, ensuring that the company’s products and services meet the highest quality standards.

Why this role may be right for you:

• You have ten years plus of senior leadership experience in a project management/engineering/operational leadership role.
• You’ve accomplished a bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, operational management or a related field and ideally pursued your MBA.
• You pride yourself on your ability to coach others to higher levels of development and move a cross-functional group of team members in a common direction with a unified vision and objective. 
• You have a track record of building and managing high-performing operational and engineering teams, while simultaneously building a culture where all employees thrive.

• You love leading complex project management, engineering and operational initiatives, balancing customer needs, organizational needs, process orientation, compliance, risk and regulatory requirements.

• You embrace and optimize technology naturally as a way to meet business objectives.
• You remain graceful under pressure and uncertainty, confident that as a team you will all figure it out. 

What you’ll do in this role:

Strategic Leadership - Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan, integrating engineering objectives. In partnership with other key leaders, collectively run the business as a collaborative, strategic, enterprise wide, leadership team. 

Team Leadership - Lead and mentor project management, engineering and operational teams, fostering a culture aligned with our values and focused on excellence and continuous improvement.

Operational Leadership - Oversee daily operations of the company, with a strong focus on project management and engineering activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Quality & Compliance - Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements across operations and engineering activities.

This is an in-office leadership position in our New Gloucester, Maine office at the beautiful Pineland Farms campus. A relocation package is available. Travel to our office in Alabama will be needed monthly and travel to international locations will be required quarterly.
