Appalachian Mountain Health ("AMH"), a Federally Qualified Health Center network based in Asheville, NC, is hiring a general Dentist to join our exceptional clinical team in delivering quality-focused primary care services for an adult (16 ) patient base at our Robbinsville clinic locations.
AMH provides comprehensive, accessible, patient-centered primary care to all, including low-income, medically underserved and uninsured populations, at six locations throughout Western North Carolina.
Our dentists work closely with their fellow physicians, advance practice clinicians, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical and administrative support staff in a team-based approach to patient care.
Required qualifications include:
- Degree from an accredited Dental School.
- Full licensure to practice dentistry in the State of North Carolina
- Local knowledge of and connections to community health care and social resources desirable
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Prefer 2 years of practice experience with an adult population in a public health setting, preferably in a rural or under-served area, but new grads will be considered.
- X-Waiver and experience treating patients with Substance Use Disorders a plus.
- Strong commitment to practicing in a community health setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as critical thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations and the capacity to function independently.
- High degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve AMH's mission.
