As an Internal Communications Manager, you will work with internal stakeholders to build and implement a communications strategy for Amazonians identified as people managers and leaders globally. You will partner with internal stakeholders across Amazon’s human resources team, to develop global communications strategies, and help build out our internal products (articles, newsletters, videos etc.) to engage and support people managers and leaders.
The ideal candidate must be a team player, able to act independently, have exemplary writing skills, a proactive work ethic, and a talent for developing creative approaches to communications challenges.
Key job responsibilities
- Create strategic and innovative internal communications plans for the people manager and leader audiences.
- Develop an approach to people manager and leader employee storytelling, including the management of digital platforms and how different editorial projects (articles, newsletter, video, etc.) should be executed in concert with one another.
- Coordinate the delivery of content across internal channels.
- Oversee the strategic editorial calendars for people managers and leaders and capture team metrics for reporting to key internal stakeholders and informing forward-looking communications strategies.
- Write, review, and manage email communications, updates, change announcements, and ad hoc communications.
- Proactively build trust and maintain solid, cross functional relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Be the employee experience advocate, representing and protecting this through all strategies and decision making.
- Develop subject expertise of Amazon’s human resources organization.
- Show extraordinarily high judgment, often in narrow time frames.
- Be all team player and get work done, even when at times it’s outside the scope of your job.
- Experience in collaborative planning and execution, integrating with partners including human resources
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Experience as a people manager or leader

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
