Job Overview:

The Purchasing/Procurement Manager at Algiere Construction Services, Inc. plays a vital role in overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in procurement and supply chain management. As the Purchasing/Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing procurement strategies to support the organization's operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management:

Experience in identifying, evaluating, and managing vendor relationships, including onboarding, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance.

• Procurement Strategy and Planning:

Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies, assess needs, forecast demand, and create procurement plans and budgets.

• Contract Negotiation and Management:

Strong skills in negotiating contracts, drafting and finalizing agreements, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Inventory Management and Control:

Expertise in overseeing inventory processes, implementing control measures, and optimizing inventory levels and costs.

• Cost Analysis and Optimization:

Ability to analyze procurement costs, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Compliance and Risk Management:

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management strategies related to procurement and vendor management.

• Team Leadership and Development:

Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with experience in guiding procurement teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What We're Looking For:

• Knowledge and experience in Purchasing/Procurement and/or sourcing processes and techniques are highly desired
• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience in Purchasing/Procurement Management
• Must have superior communication skills with the ability to interact, converse, and share ideas effectively with employees at all levels of business, from associates to upper management
• Strong multitasking skills and highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Capable and competent leader with the ability to influence others cross-functionally
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with both internal customers and external suppliers
