Abilities is seeking a competent Teacher Assistant to help our lead Teachers and Therapists in educating our students. The T.A will work with children ages 4-5 with various educational needs.
As a Teacher Assistant, one will be responsible for individual students – or smaller groups of students – who need assistance. You’ll work with the lead Teacher/Therapist to build plans for class, and support the routine of the class.

Responsibilities
- Help teachers/therapists prepare lesson plans
- Set up necessary material for classes
- Track student attendance and class schedule
- Work with smaller groups of students for reinforcing the learning process
- Make sure classrooms are safe and tidy before classes start
- Assist teachers/therapists with various tasks such as informing parents of their children’s progress
- Help students adjust, learn, play and socialize and report to teachers about progress.
