Job Posting for Transload Load Planner at CRSA Global Logistics
Job Overview As a Load Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning the movement of freight to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with internal teams, customers, transportation carriers, and other stakeholders involved in the transloading process for efficient execution
Provide regular updates on shipment status, address inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly
Collaborate with different departments to streamline processes and improve overall operational efficiency
Schedule and Plan Transloading Activities: Develop schedules and plans for transloading operations based on customer requirements, shipment volumes and available resources
Perform unit assignment and EDI rail billing function for completed outbound units
Vessel Processing: Monitor vessel ETA’s, verify internal data against ocean carrier documents, provide Customs manifests to Brokers, validate exchange rates
Facilitate Store Distributions: validate customer allocations against in-house references and quantities for direct store deliveries
Occasional need to physically assess cargo condition on site for internal reporting and provide direction to warehouse provider
Perform other related duties as required in Domestic Operations departments
Qualifications:
Transportation Industry (preference given to candidates with warehouse, intermodal and freight forwarding experience)
Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus
Familiarity with Canada Customs documentation and requirements (preferred but not required
Skills and Technical Knowledge:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and resolve issues effectively
Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook) and ability to learn other systems related to logistics and operations management
Ability to work in a team, as well as individually, as required
Ability to work under stringent time constraints
Ability to set and adjust priorities to meet simultaneous needs
Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick decisions to address operational challenges
Accurate and efficient data entry skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
Organized and logical, willing to adapt to changes as business requires
