After averaging the salaries of these top 10 mom jobs, we were able to calculate how much moms would earn if they actually received a paycheck for their work, including overtime pay.
Stay-at-home moms work a total of 94.7 hours a week, with a 40-hour base and 54.7 hours of overtime on their mom duties. That's good for an annual salary of $112,962, or $17.80 an hour. But we all know the value of raising one or more people into quality human beings cannot ever be truly calculated.
Working moms make less with an estimated annual salary of $66,979, logging 57.9 hours a week (40 base, 17.9 of OT), regarding their mom duties. But that doesn't take into account the 35.7 hours a week these career moms are averaging at a paying job, where they make an average annual salary of $45,515. Working mothers have a constant tightrope to walk in balancing family and home, which makes the work they do in both arenas that much more impressive.
But whether they stay at home or work, all moms deserve our respect, love and perpetual gratitude.
