Job Description for Scrum Program Manager

Scrum Program Manager manages and coaches a team of Scrum Masters that support self-managed teams in the completion of Scrum projects. Ensures projects are sufficiently resourced for the defined scope of work and are delivered on schedule and within budget. Being a Scrum Program Manager oversees multiple projects and coordinates across other Agile teams for complex projects. Monitors project milestones and takes proactive steps to mitigate risk. Additionally, Scrum Program Manager guides Scrum Masters in the implementation of quality standards and recommends changes to improve the Agile process. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Typically reports to a director or head of a unit or department. The Scrum Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
