Pay Range is $19.26 – $26.00 per hour and offers a competitive benefit package. Bilingual communication is a plus.
This is responsible, semi-skilled work in the operation and maintenance of the City Solid Waste Transfer Station Scale House. An incumbent operates the transfer station scale house to weigh customers in and out. Collect fees from commercial haulers and the public. The employee also may be responsible for managing the work of court-ordered community service workers. The work is performed under the direction of the Transfer Station Supervisor, with the employee exercising considerable independent judgment in operations related to the scale house operations. Must become certified in waste management by the Solid Waste Association of North America.
