(EWA-GSI), Fairmont, West Virginia, has an immediate opening for a System Administrator to augment the core team that develops and implements a variety of computer-based products for our military customers. RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to): This position is in support of ongoing software development programs. The selected candidate will work in a structured, multidisciplinary team environment in Fairmont, WV. Qualified candidate will: * Provide proactive monitoring and maintenance of all machines and backups. * Provide advice and training to end-users. * Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. * Conduct STIG reviews utilizing ACAS and manual checks to ensure DoD Security is being met. * Work with ISSO/ISSM to monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources; Security Policies and Procedures, Continuity Plan, and Incidence Response Plan. * Collaborate with ISSO/ISSM to create and track POA&Ms, exceptions, and mitigations. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus five (5) years of relevant experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, systems maintenance and systems monitoring/reporting is required.
- Linux experience required.
- Strong understanding of virtual and physical networking configuration.
- Strong hardware, software and network troubleshooting skill set.
- Preferred skills for the selected applicant: * Experience with Bash, Python and/or Perl scripting.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Experience with Git based environments.
- DoD 8570/DoN 5239 IAT Level II certification (Security CE).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
