Inspect materials and sort boards for defects to ensure conformance to specifications. Unload boards from hand trucks or pallets to sawmill deck and position boards on the table for cutting.
Remove materials and products from machines and equipment and stack on racks using hand tools and moving devices.Perform general cleaning on machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions according to instructions.
Learn species and patterns.Additional Responsibilities : May be required to pull staples from lumber.May be required to record production and operational data, such as the amount of materials processed.
